What was your inspiration?
Strings from musical instruments are composed of mixed metals and cannot be recycled ina traditional manner. These items are fun and funky and keep more trash out of the landfill.
What are you most proud of?
These pieces and others will be on sale at the National Folk Festival, Labor Day weekend in Nashville, TN.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Wire from guitar strings behaves with a mind of its own and does not conform like craft wire. And its freakishly sharp! Prepare to shed blood for your art :)
