What was your inspiration?
I already had one of these in a pale blue, and decided I wanted another for warm weather because they're comfortable and flattering on my figure.
What are you most proud of?
Getting the bias binding smooth, and discovering the print I chose didn't look like it belonged on a grandmother!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you can find the pattern, the skirt and this top are fantastic wardrobe builders, but it's out of print now. Watch the bust gathering (I tried to do it by hand this time, and it popped out while I was sewing the midriff portion on).
