What are you most proud of? That my top turned out great and it's wearable and I've already worn it several times and had quite a few compliments and have even had a couple of people ask me wear I bought it... of course I proudly said "I made it".... I think those are the proudest moments... well for me anyway :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Watch all the videos and then go back and watch the appropriate videos for the project you are sewing.... and of course enjoy sewing with knits as there is definitely nothing to fear.

Wow. That is a very flattering top and you look terrific in it. Do you mind sharing what pattern this is? I think I need it in my pattern stash. ;-)

Thanks Kathy and it's Simplicity 2634 from the Khaliah Ali Collection. This is definitely one pattern that will never be leaving my stash LOL

Chris I often look through the projects that others have done, but yours was the first to stop me dead in my tracks! it is breathtaking, you look absolutely stunning, you should be really proud of your work. I am a plus size and would love to make one similar, could you tell me the pattern no? I think you should post this picture everywhere for the world to see not just cratsy, it is way to good to keep quiet about it :-)

Hi Sue and thank you for a such a beautiful compliment! I have to admit I always feel great when I wear this top and it's definitely one of my favorites. I get quite a lot of compliments whenever I wear it as well and often get asked where I bought it... and as you know it's a lovely feeling when you get to say "I made it". The pattern is Simplicity 2634 (Khaliah Ali Collection) and this is view F. I haven't even blogged about this top as I only started blogging about my sewing project in December at

Wow! Cut outs let out the heat too!.....I started sewing as a young teenager when I lived in Port Hedland....out of necessity....only one shop in those days.

It's still a necessity LOL... things haven't got much better with regards to shops and especially for plus sizes. I can't tell you how much wear I've had out of this top and you're so right about it letting out the heat :)
