Woven Scarf

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Shoot It! A Product Photography Primer »

Instructions

I wanted to use natural lighting, but it is snowing today so I opened the front door and set the dress form in the entryway and positioned myself so the light came in over my shoulder.

Difficulty:

Category: Weaving

Type of item: Accessory

For: Unisex

Style: Classic, Casual

Materials

Fingering weight washable wool yarn

What are you most proud of?

The lighting and focus in this photo seem good to me. The natural light captured the colors in this scarf wonderfully. To me, the beauty of this scarf is in the colors and this photo captures that.
The composition seems to use the rule of thirds - that's what I was trying for.

Thanks! I used two washable wool sock yarns. The warp is Fleece Artist Merino 2/6 and the weft is Fabulous Fibers Sota.
