What was your inspiration?
I wanted a way to capture stones, either drilled or undrilled. I was trying to come up with something beyond a typical "border wrap" to hold a cabochon using wire. I wanted something I could use to accent patterns in a stone, or even cover up flaws in the surface of a cabochon.
This is actually the pendant I will be teaching in my next tutorial. Even though most of these have very different looks, they all share the same basic techniques.
What are you most proud of?
This style adapts to all sorts of sizes and shapes of stones/glass/other focal pieces. You can use this with a flat bead or with an undrilled stone or cabochon. Using the same techniques you can vary the weaving and swirl patterns to create vastly different looks.
