What materials did you use? Mens XXL new shirt 70% polyester 30% cotton

What are you most proud of? Manageing to get all the pieces cut out of an existing shirt. My collars are improving - I think I have finally got the technique of turning them.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't do this. And don't use polyester - it was really horrible to sew with after those nice UK & Italian shirting cottons. The fabric had alot less ease and puckered easily even when sewing taut seams as Pam advises.

Nice redo.

Thanks ... it's not as comfortable as the 100% cotton version even tho its the same pattern exactly.

Hi, Great job!! You are so resourceful to use an existing shirt and filling in the details. Most people would not have thought of doing that! You're right, fabric choice makes a big difference. I really love this one, too :-)) Thanks, Pam

I would like to ask a question...i live outside the USA and cannot buy the commercial pattern, would i be able to sew a pattern i have drafted myself from the information in this class...

01/19/2013 Flag

no ... but you can download the pattern anywhere in the world and print out yourself (which is what I did) from www.sewingpatterns.com if you have a credit card or paypal.
