What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow the step by step instructions in pictures on Sarah's free pattern download, or go to You Tube and watch a Video on how to do the Bavarian stitch..

Kimberley - you can find free Step by Step instructions in pictures on Sarah London's Blog - just Google Wool Eater Blanket - it is in Aussie/English crochet terms but no problem if you just remember it is US treble/triple crochet - the blanket comes in Square or Rectangle/Oblong -happy crocheting! And it is EASY but it eats yarn!!! Good stash buster.... check out other Wool Eaters I have done on Ravelry - my ID is No1grandma on there.
