What advice would you give someone starting this project? A chalk pencil is my favorite tool for marking on wool.

Seeing the image of this project so small, it makes me realize it is quite dark in the center. I'll be able to fix that with some thick yellow and orange embellishments and seam treatments in the area. It illustrates how you can always push on the composition of a crazy quilt with what you add with your surface stitching. ;-)
