What was your inspiration?

My inspiration was the Month of May " Wonky Log Cabin" Block of the Month.

What are you most proud of?

I most proud of the fact that all the colored scraps worked together so well. It was made with: (12) 12.5" Wonky blocks, 2.5" dark brown sashing, 1.75" cranberry 1st border, 5.5"gold 2nd border, 2.5" brown 3rd border and cranberry binding. The backing is the same fabric as the wide gold border on the quilt top. Overall size is 61" x 74." lap quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use up those scrapes, even though you may have to buy the backing, borders & batting, like I did!

Sorry but No. I made my first Wonky Block with Amy Gibson's BOM & liked it so much that I made this lap quilt. It's my favorite and lives on my couch back! :-)

Excellent! You have proved that repeating just one of the BOM blocks can make a very lovely quilt - and what a super way to use up all those odds and ends that we all find we're hoarding!

Thanks! It's funny, as you sew the scraps together for blocks like this, you reminese where the fabrics were originally used. A real memory quilt! I love that!

I laugh because these pictures come in all different which ways! This one is upside down! I would have had to have been standing on my head to take it! It doesn't matter because the quilt still appears the same. Did I do some thing wrong? It was sent from my computer. ,:-)

I put my quilt on the floor and got a ladder and took the picture from above getting all of it and just a bit of floor. I take several so I get the edge straight. When I download the picture from the camera I take it into the photo program and crop it just a bit. Then it is ready to upload to craftsy.
