What was your inspiration?
I've been making quilts with this wonky approach to log cabin for a long time. Yesterday I needed a gift bag for a friend's housewarming champagne and decided to make it from some scraps lying about from another projects.
What are you most proud of?
Even though I've since learned that this sort of wonky piecework is quite common, I thought it up on my own to use up scraps!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't worry about perfection. This project is all about letting the materials on hand dictate what the finished product will look like.
