During the process of making this block, I ran out of scraps and took little pieces and stringed them together to get a strip.When I was finished I looked at the square and the center looked like a blank space, so I applicaed a hexicon just in the right place to give the block interest.

Materials
The scraps from the last three block projects. I used them all until I got a large enough block to make a trimmed square the right size of my 12 1/2" Square Ruler. I also used the strips that I trimmed off the first try of #9 block, to make the second try. When I ran out of that, and I strung the cuttings together to make more strips.
What was your inspiration?
A bin full of scraps from the last three projects.
What are you most proud of?
I used every scrap and made something worth keeping.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid to slice and dice this one. You cannot make a mistake. Have fun I did!
