What was your inspiration?
Living in Maine for ten years really made me appreciate warm slippers! I wore them year round and wanted to design something that was cute but functional.
What are you most proud of?
I've had even beginning knitters tell me that they learned a lot making these slippers, about shaping and felting.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It is a blast to put a weirdly shaped piece of knitting into the washing machine and have it turn out a slipper!!
