What was your inspiration?
I've recently acquired a batch of cabochons I'm wire wrapping. I usually start out with a rough sketch of how I'd like the pendant to turn out. I like graceful swirls, symmetry and the occasional whimsical twist. Then, again most of my designs are organic; changing according to the personality and character of the stones and materials I'm working with. Evolving until they feel "finished".
"Amor" is inspired by the stone itself. Rose quartz has long been deigned a symbol of unconditional love. What started out as a simpler design felt like it needed companions. And so the border of pearls and cherry quartz chips. Love how they complement each other. ^^
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Anyone starting a project or following a design should give themselves creative leeway. Sometimes, the results can be spectacular!
