Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: I used Maggie Austin's technique to create the blackberries and hypericomb berries. For some of the blackberries, I cheated a little and used small sugar pearls and adhered them to a gumpaste cone using piping gel. They were a bit heavy for the piping gel so they needed to rest flat instead of upright. The next day I filled in the empty spots by repeating the process. Then I brushed them with dark purple petal dust and steamed them for just a couple of seconds.
