What was your source for this quilting project? Improvisational

What materials did you use? I used Moda "Joy" by Kate Spade for my fabric choice. I made hexagons (one inch) and sewed them together, then cut out the stocking pattern from the joined pieces and lined the stocking and also added pom poms. I also attached batting to the hexagons and did a blanket stitch around each hexagon. I stuffed the toe so it would stay firm.

What are you most proud of? I really liked how they turned out. I made three, Large, medium and small for my daughter, her husband and baby. I lined the baby stocking with Charlie Brown's Christmas fabric.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I found stocking patterns for free on the web and used different parts. The curved toe was one pattern and the jester cuff was from a different stocking pattern. Draw your pattern on paper and then cut out and use it to cut your pieced hexagons.
