Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. I understood the 'Albertian veil' lesson, but struggles with putting it on paper. This photograph seemed to mostly put it together for me and I feel more comfortable with it now, and will try some others. The paper is 8"X10" and I used a variety of B pencils.

Hello Minke, Congratulations on another lovely landscape drawing. It looks like you understood the lesson and executed it without a problem. [Do not know if you saw that I posted a drawing on an Albertian Veil lesson reviewing SistyKay's assignment. That may be of use to you.] The spatial structure is good, you placed the eye-level line at a useful height. The balance of the composition brings the viewer into the pictorial depth with elements on the left and right, front and back to take the "eye" around the drawing. This compositional balance also contributes to the appreciation of the space. The tonal structure was rendered to complement that. One note, would it have been possible to give a light tone to the path? It seems a bit too similar from foreground to distance. All-in-all, a good and lovely drawing. I look forward to the posting of your next drawing.
