What was your inspiration?

Was offered to join a BOM club at my local fabric store and when I saw the first sample block, I HAD to say yes!!!

That I have learned to applique and it is not as hard or complicated that I first thought.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Read instructions thoroughly before starting. Measure twice, cut once.

It looks like you are having fun with this BOM. This a cute block. Can't wait to see the other blocks. I'm glad you found the courage to go ahead. Machine applique is so much easier than it looks. Are you turning it into a quilt or something smaller like place mats and table runners?

Its going to be a quilt. This is block # 3 of the project. I skipped over #2 because I didn't have the guide sheet, but now I don't think I even need it. Posted # 4 today ...Flakes the snowman ice skating, lol.

LOL Damsel :) ... Yes, its a BOM thing they offered where I get my sewing supplies. I was supposed to have started on it in Feb but I didn't have enough confidence. I FINALLY decided to bite the bullet and go for it. Working on another one now that I will post this evening IF I get it done.

By the way Damsel....your advice about laying the fusible webbing on the bias REALLY pays off with this project since there are SO many small pieces. Thank you so much for that gem.
