What was your inspiration?
I live in Miami and miss the changing seasons of my native Louisiana. I went home for the holidays last year and took these photos. I love the texture of the flowers and leaves.
What are you most proud of?
I love the quilting. Not humble, but true. Machine quilting is a passion.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just start. This is an easy project to put together. You can change the color of the fabrics. You can paint the leaves and flowers. Water soluable colored pencils are fun to use. Use the full size quilting guide for the quilting--or not.
This project is fun and quick to do.
