Lace weight wool stainless steel yarn - 1000 yds. and a size 7 (1.65 mm) steel crochet hook.
What was your inspiration?
My husband is a metallurgist, so when I first discovered there was such a thing as stainless steel yarn, I had to find something to make with it ... and it had to incorporate snowflakes!
What are you most proud of?
I love the way this turned out and that the stainless steel in the yarn gives more body to the snowflake motifs.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The stainless steel yarn is quite thin - it takes a little getting used to working with two strands held together.
