What are you most proud of? I am proud that I foundation pieced that many items without messing any of it up. I must finally be getting the hang of it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? just go slow and steady, do not rush yourself, else you'll be taking out stitches and redoing it. As I always say, cut a little bit larger than you think you need to be safe in foundation piecing odd shapes.

My friend & I saw that quilt in the magazine too. She LOVES squirrels so she plans to make it too. WOW...you work fast, it's very cute, great job!! It has to be cat themed before I'll do paper piecing (my least favorite method of quilting). Ha! Thanks for sharing.

oh I'd have to keep it for MYSELF if it were cat themed! We have four! I actually spent one whole day on the squirrel, and one day on the raccoon, one day on the birds together, then one day assembling and quilting, then hemming...I'm not as fast as I used to be. I have to take alot of breaks now b/c I have psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. I try not to get in a flareup from sewing! It's inevitable! lol...so anyway for me it was easily a 4 to 5 day project.

I also did the wall hanging and took it to my quilting group. Everyone loved it. It was fast and easy. If thy come up with a cat one I will make it for my daughter. This one I keep for myself.
