What was your inspiration?

I saw this quilt made up in a local quilt shop and enquired about the pattern and fabric as I was very new to quilting and had only done a couple of very simple projects. The book from which the pattern comes is"Nine by Nine" by Cyndi Hershey and it has lots of other projects that I would like to try at some time in the future.

What are you most proud of?

Although this was my first "real" project I was pleased that I had got the joins and corners reasonably neat. The only quilting is "in the ditch", but it seems to suit the quilt well enough.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be discouraged by the tiny squares and triangles that have to be cut out - they go together really easily.

I imagine the book with the pattern in it ("Nine by Nine" - 9-Patch Quilts, 9 Ways by Cyndi Hershey) is still in print as it was published in 2007 under the "That Patchwork Place" label, The ISBN number is 978-1-56477-736-2, which should help you to track it down. Perhaps Amazon? If you do find it, I look forward to seeing a picture of your finished quilt in due course!

I love your Winter Blues. I would like to try it. Do you know if that pattern is still available?

This is absolutely stunning! I just love your color choices, they compliment each other so nicely. What a great choice of fabric. Your piecing is spectacular too. Great job!
