Instructions

This project shows how simply varying one idea can make something completely different. I used the basic structure of the leaves I designed for my Perky Poinsettia embellishment design which adorned my chain wreath project, and instead of using four small balls at the center I used one larger one.

What was your inspiration?

I've been stuck inside for two weeks with a severe head cold, and thinking of "Winter Blues", so I created a Winter Blues Flower to cheer myself up.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid to experiment. It's just yarn. This is just 4 1/2" inches in size, so don't be afraid to adjust it according to your needs. Add a few stitches here or there to lengthen or widen the leaves or petals, curve the leaves more, add more embellishment. Have fun!
