What was your inspiration?

I have always wanted to do a Winding Ways pattern. I love the way that the curved pieces blend into the block next to it. Seldom do you see a pattern with as much movement in it as this one has.

As this is a miniature at 16" square, it made it much more difficult because eight small pieces of fabric come together at a teeny point and quilting it was very difficult. On a larger scale, this would have been much easier.

I hand sewed a hanging sleeve on the back for ease of installation.

What are you most proud of?

I made this by hand and hand quilted it "in the ditch" which I haven't done for awhile.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Try making a pillow with a bit larger pattern than this if you are intimidated with the scale of this one.

By the way, this wallhanging is for sale for $95 on etsy. My name is SweetbriarQuilts. Thanx :-)
