This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Other

Style: Cute

Materials

100% cotton fat quarters, and Warm and Natural cotton batting. This was a fun project! I started this quilt in September and finished the second week of December. Just in time for giving as a Christmas gift.

What was your inspiration?

I love the colors of Autumn and wanted to reflect that in this quilt. I also love birds, so when I saw the bird house design in a short workshop on here, I incorporated it in the back. I free motion quilted, and for being a first time of doing this I must say it was a little physical trying to manipulate it in my machine, but well worth the time and effort. I didn't have to pay someone else to quilt it for me.

What are you most proud of?

I did it all myself!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun with it and enjoy the experience and journey!

Can you add another picture to your own posted project? I can't figure out how?

I think you go to edit photos and then instead of changing one, you add one. Not sure if you care as I am looking at your quilt months later. I like how you did your blocks.

WOW, you did this quickly. I really like the way you've used white. I'd like to see some of your quilting too, it's hard to tell from your picture. So is this a gift? Lucky person.

Yes it is a gift! My daughter is getting married into the most amazing family, and I've made it for her new in-laws! I couldn't have asked for a better family to be a better part of.
