I try different colours of artboard as backing for the bears to get a good contrast against their fur. I also try to photograph on a day with enough sun to get a glint in their eyes.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
I design and make bears, so am always looking to capture their personality in the photos.
What are you most proud of?
I don't think he looks posed, but reasonably natural.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I have a set of studio lights and a light box, but prefer natural light. The lighting seems to be the most important thing, so wait for a bright day...if you can.
