What materials did you use? cotton jersey (blue and grey), DMC 4ply merc' crochet cotton thread, Jacquard textile paint (watered down a bit) in colour violet, See and Sew 6323 jacket pattern, self covering buttons, Rasant thread, own stencil design inspired by William Morris designs (suggest using Tyvek)

thankyou, yes it is backstitched, took probably 5 times longer to do than if I'd done it in a running stitch but I thought it would look better. by the way if you plan to do this use a blunt needle like a size 18 embroidery needle, less of a strain on the hand :)
