What are you most proud of? That it came out as well as I'd hoped. Choosing and making the motifs is fun. Connecting and filling with the mesh is a bit challenging to keep it flat and the stitches somewhat evenly spaced and going in the right direction. The color variations in the Tweed Stripes yarn made for interesting color matching and contrasts.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make a fabric template by tracing around a favorite tee shirt or vest . Layout the motifs in a pleasing arrangement and pin them face down to the template. Begin in the lower right corner and begin the filling stitches. Work around each motif and back and forth between to join and create the fabric. Use 4 or 5 or 6 chains, double and treble crochets or any variation of stitches. It is helpful to place the template on a piece of cardboard or movable work surface so you can rotate the template to more easily work the stitches in different directions

Beautiful. This inspires me to do one too. I have some neat chunks of various colors I could do this with. This looks so fun.
