The owl is from some bright and colorful corduroy fabric cut out to fit my paper piecing parts and the rest is cotton fabric. I did some decorative stitching around the appliqued pieces and the quilting is done with a 40 wt mercerized long staple cotton thread. No pattern was used, I drew the owl myself, transferred it to wax paper and cut these out for my paper piecing. The moon is outlined using decorative stitching with a beautiful Madeira metallic thread - color 303.
