Here are some details about my project:

Style Casual, Funky, Whimsical

What materials did you use? Fabrics made of cotton, metallics, sequins, ribbon, gold thread, cotton thread, very thin cotton wadding (batting), odds and ends from my sewing box ...

What are you most proud of? Making something different and unique, even if it's far from perfect. I'm usually very "picky" and like everything to be as perfect as possible but, somehow, it didn't really matter in this case.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Let your imagination run riot and have fun!

My machine is still a bit of a mystery to me. Just bought a proper table with an inset for it at a quilt show a couple of days ago. That will enable me to have the quilting in a place where I can see it properly. At present I'm having to use the diningroom table, which is really far too high. The new table will arrive later this week and my open-toe quilting foot next week (I hope) so there'll be no holding me after that!

Pat I love the owl and although I am NOT a fan of yo-yo's - in this one they look absolutely adorable!

Thank you - he's a very long way from perfect, but it gave me a chance to try out various stitches on my new machine.

That's the beauty of it - Quilting doesn't have to be perfect.....It gives it that funky look with all the various stitches and looks really cool!

Thank you for saying that - it makes me feel better about my "ropey" bits!
