Super soft Ultra-Suede doe-skin, textured polyester for the yoke, cotton for the button placket, and collar.
What was your inspiration?
My musician husband wanted a retro style western shirt for stage wear. The pattern itself quickly became the inspiration for the finished piece.
What are you most proud of?
My fabulous find of a large piece of super soft Ultra-Suede doe-skin in the remnant bin of my local indie fabric store.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use and over-cast (edge stitch) all the way around the yoke -- this will give some stability to the edge, help avoid raveling, and create an even fold line when turning the edges under.
