What are you most proud of? 'That I stuck to and completed a big project and I totally created/designed it myself!!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would say, make one your own, as I did. Don't be afraid to create exactly what you want if you can't find it in a pattern. It helps to make a basic one or practice stitches first if you want to gain some confidence or just go for it! You can always pull it out and start over (or start making a small one, for a child, for practice and to try out your pattern idea). Good luck!

I'm so sorry, Martha, I have hardly been on here and didn't see your query. I made this poncho myself, there is no pattern. I had a book of ponchos and wraps and found one in part that I liked for the shape and followed the increases till it was long enough for what I wanted, then I picked up the sts around the neck and knit them. Then added fringe. That's all there is to it. You can probably find a free pattern that is similar online. Try Lion Brand Yarns' patterns, Drop patterns or ravelry.com. Best of luck to you!!!!
