Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Wee Ones: Seamless Knit Toys »

Instructions

I followed the pattern for my hippo. The video course was so helpful. I am sure that I would not have figured out some of the more difficult parts without it!

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Toy

For: Children

Style: Cute

Materials

The hippo was made with Red Heart Super Save in Light Grey. The Stripey Top was made with some leftover yarn that was given to me (some sort of acrylic). This was my first attempt, using yarn I had on hand. I plan to use a nicer, softer yarn for the next toy(s).

What are you most proud of?

I am so proud that I actually finished it! The hippo certainly isn't perfect, but he turned out so cute. I look forward to making another.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid of the DPNs. With practice, you can do it! Susan has some great tips on starting out with a small number of stitches on multiple needles.

Love it - I am thinking of doing the class and seeing your ultra cute hippo has made me think I might be able to do it. Thank you.

The class was so helpful. There are parts I'm not sure I would have figured out without the video! Enjoy!
