Wee One with Sweater

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Wee Ones: Seamless Knit Toys »

Instructions

Watching the videos from the course clarified techniques that I was not familiar with and made it so much easier. Minimizing the frustration bumped up the fun factor.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Toy

For: Infant/Baby

Style: Cute, Whimsical

Materials

100% acrylic for body & sweater so it can be washed hot. Leftover bits of embroidery floss for the detail on the face.

What was your inspiration?

Course on Craftsy, of course.

What are you most proud of?

It was a great pattern to use the magic loop technique on. I like that I was able to finish it fairly quickly and use only materials from my stash.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time and go through the video as often as you need to. Using video notes is very helpful.

If you make one, be prepared for requests. This bunny has prompted requests for two hippos, one elephant and an anteater. The anteater will be a challenge. Perhaps a future project.

Thank you for making it possible. I made two more sweaters over the holidays. This bunny is packed in a box with the three sweaters for a baby who was born on Christmas day. Very exciting.

I meant to mention that the newborn has a big sister (4 years old) who will probably love to change the sweaters. I will have to make her an elephant.
