|Here are some details about my project:|
|Style||Formal / Bridal, Retro / Vintage, Romantic|
What materials did you use? french netting, flowers, ostrich feathers, millnery leaves, button loop trim, silk thread, rhinestones
What are you most proud of? I used my grandma's silk thread to do the small bits of sewing, She passed away a week before the wedding and I was happy to have her there in some way. It also took a lot of shopping and collecting (and editing) to come up with the right elements for the fascinator but I love them.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is such an easy, inexpensive veil to make for a DIY wedding. The hardest part was figuring out how to style it, so just play with it before your big day. I originally made a smaller fascinator for the other side but thought it was too much- in retrospect I would have worn it since most of the time I was photographed from one side or the other. Totally not a big deal though!
