Applique Masterpiece "Affairs of the Heart" by Aie Rossman.This was the starting point. I then adapted it to the quilt as you go method.

Cottons, batiks and a very extensive scrap collection. Fusible web for applique and variegated rainbow thread for the blanket stitch applique.
What was your inspiration?
My quilting bee of 6 decided we needed the challenge and each bought and followed Aie Rossman's book.
What are you most proud of?
How I did it all myself, including the hand dying of lace for the small borders.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't try to finish in a short time. Take your time and enjoy each block. Keep at it- the finish WILL come.
