I love your work on the bodice, is that all original, or taken from patterns?

The bodice was a combination of patterns with my own tweaks. I don't know how to make a pattern (that will be my next class:), but the sweetheart underbodice was a combination of 2 patterns so that I could get an empire waistline on that. The back underbodice was a different pattern. The lace overlay was another pattern that I modified to my liking, using Princess Kate's dress as a guide. It is made of silk organza with lace cutouts applied to the organza. The pleated silk dupioni is just me messing around with fabric:)

Stunning! Did you have a bride you were sewing for?

I made this for my youngest daughter.
