What was your inspiration?

The inspiration came from a phplane oto of a cake the bride sent me (my sister in law now :-) )The photo was from cake Ink. Events in melbourne a very talented lady named Janelle made the inspiration cake :-)

What are you most proud of?

I was most proud of how I arranged the sugar flowers on the cake. This is one thing ive never been taught of found a tutorial on etc so i did this all on my own and i thought it looked terrific. I was extremely pround of myself and also the reaction i got from the bride and groom who just happened to be my brother and now sister in law. This cake was their wedding gift from me and all those flowers travelled 3000klm to get to their wedding. It was a huge task but everything worked out exactly as planned. Certainly one of my proudest cake moments and it was only my second ever wedding cake :-)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

plan ahead, all the flowers on this cake took me weeks to make. I only made them at night because im a stay at home mum but they still took a long time. Dont leave it to the last minute. sugar flowers need time to dry ask me how i know this hahaha, yes ive learnt the hard way
