Gorgeous cake, did you attach the flowers to the cake with cell sticks or by making a garland? Just beautiful

thank-you. The flowers are wired and so not to contaminate the cake, you wire the flowers together in groups and then insert them into posy picks. Hope this helps x

It does, thank you. I made my first tiered wedding cake earlier this year for my daughter and made lots of sugar flowers, again for the first time. I wasn't sure how to put all the flowers on but did us an odd posy pick and then made tiny mounds of icing to put other flowers into, it worked but I would have liked it neater. Thanks again.

I do use royal icing to put sugar paste flowers on that have no wires and it hardens really well. For the top of a cake I insert the flowers into a polystyrene spacer or dome shaped one if I want to get the height. I expect your cake looked fab - and to your daughter will always be special.
