What was your inspiration?
saving money for the bride, and using their bridal fabric, have done something similar before. Brides really like having something uniqueand keepable, I make a throwing bouquet that slightly smaller , and the bride keeps hers.
What are you most proud of?
The fact they really like them, its unique , and it saves them money , especially if they have a tight budget. Made bouttonieres and corsages also. Made head bands for flower girls, and ring pillows.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Look at several source books to see how the same thing might be done different ways with the same result. Use any fabric , but nothing to stiff , one of the fabrics was a brocade and it did well . taffetas and satins, lining fabrics all work well. You can by premade wire flowers instead of making your own . I don't think it is to difficult , but takes a little practice.
