What was your inspiration?
A beautiful variation of the storm at sea block: the central square in a square is replaced by an eight point star. Pattern includes instructions for traditional piecing (templates) and foundation piecing. The colors were inspired by the picture beside the quilt: a little corner of the Mediterranean Sea. The quilt is finished with a Greek border where the black is a symbol of the rocky shoreline of my home town. If you are interested, please visit my web site:
