I am a great fan of Ricky Tims, will have to see if anybody is stocking his fabric in the UK. Polka dots are very much "on trend" - had to go to London recently and happened to past Selfridges. Talk about spots before the eyes, every window had an installation by Yayoi Kusama promoting Louis Vuitton's polka dot bags. There was even an oversized statue of the artist over the main door. If you do a search for "Louis Vuitton at Selfridges London by Yayoi Kusama"and scroll down for images you will see what I mean - your bag is kinder on the eyes! Happy bag making.

Thanks Gog. I am in West Australia and polka dot fashion has'nt reached here as yet, apart from Ricky's fabric. I bought the fabric from a store that hosted Ricky Timms a few weeks back when he came to Perth. We are always behind Europe in fashion maybe due to seasons. What you are saying means I am ahead of the Australian fashion scene :) I had a look at Selfridges and looked up Kusama on Wikipedia. I agree it is a bit overwhelming and I wonder if it doesn't get boring to do only red/white scheme polka dots? How easy is it to get famous these days? Have a wonderful day.

What a great bag, love the fabrics. Have you come across Lisa Lam, I've just got her Bag Making Bible from the library. If you do a search for u-handbags you will find her website where she generously gives access to free patterns and tutorials. Must get the sewing machine out, all this talk of bags is making me eager to have another bag underway.

Thank you so much for the compliment and the info on Lisa Lam. I love lively colours , so the fabric with the dots was by Ricky Timms. You can find him on TQS with this link : http://www.thequiltshow.com
