What was your inspiration?
I bought a Watermelon Bali Pop at Houston Quilt Festival and thought this would be the perfect project for it. I bought 8 additional fat 8ths to enlarge it as the pattern suggested and voila...here it is!
What are you most proud of?
This is hot off the press. I just started it last Tuesday and I already have it quilted only a sleeve, binding and a label to go. This is an easy pattern and very fast. You could easily make this quilt in a weekend.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use either a Bali pop or scraps. You should have variety that you won't get from a standard jelly roll.
