Materials

I used silver plated eye pins, blue lace agate, aquamarine, yellow agate, a clear glass pendant, one of my photos & photo-editing softward.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted my students to create illustrations to go with their haiku poetry. I showed them works by Monet to help them understand that you can have the impression that something is there without having a lot of detail. That lesson inspired me subconsciously, I suppose, because I woke up the next morning with the idea in my head to create Monet inspired pendants from my photos.

What are you most proud of?

I took a chance and it paid off! I think the results are terrific!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Pick up some glass pendants -they seem to be everywhere right now, some decoupage glue, pick out some favorite photos, and have fun!
