What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make simple but thoughtful birthday gifts for friends and family.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a great project to keep in your purse or carry with you. Its easy to work up in little moments on the go and light enough so that its not weighing you down. I always have one in-progress. :)

Thank you for the pattern! I made these years ago--and have just gotten back into knitting. It's a great first project so people know they are able to create useful projects immediately. I'm teaching friends how to knit while in Law School (it relaxes us) and this is going to be oru next project!

Yes, these are just the right size for a dishcloth. I use to make them also and lost the pattern. Thank You for sharing the pattern. I will now make more of them. I have binder for my favorite patterns now. It makes finding things so much easier.
