What was your inspiration?
I followed a pattern in a book from Shizuko Kuroha first of all to create bag for all my necessary quilting tools. This japanese book (translated in german) had great drawings, so I could follow it successfully, Beside that I got a little help from a quilting teacher in our town.
This japanese quilting artist loves blue as much as I do.
What are you most proud of?
That I could do such a complex project as this little bag for the first time quilting. It was real fun and drew me towards quilting even more. I did the whole thing by hand sewing.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
To get the zipper in, was quite a task. I had to redo that one time. After the first time I wanted to close the bag and it was all crooked. The ends of the zipper have to be placed correctly in the middle on the same vertical line.
