Instructions

I made a lot of modifications to this pattern, but none of them were particularly challenging. As with any new pant pattern, a muslin is a good idea. For this, you'll need your muslin fabric to have some stretch.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Materials

Stretch denim, Aurifil thread for topstitching, pearl snaps as rivets

What was your inspiration?

This is my second time making this pattern, and I wear the first pair all the time. I found this amazing denim with a subtle sheen that I just had to make into another pair of skinnies.

What are you most proud of?

The fun pink topstitching. I used variegated thread, so it really pops.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Muslin, muslin, muslin. Jeans are a lot of work, and you don't want to waste time with a poor fit. Sewing your own jeans is all about fit.
