What materials did you use? All the fabrics are cotton scraps from the old Morehead City NC shirt factory.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This one is easy but you should sew slowly and pin the strips every time lest the piece start to buckle. if you make this quilt, do send pics so we can all enjoy!

This IS a great quilt. My mother worked in a sewing factory in Mt. Airy, MD back in the 1920's. I sure wish she had been a quilter and had used the scraps that she must have been offered, too. She made herself aprons, but I only have one of those to remember her by.

I just love the way some people explain how to do these quilts.i just wish someone had of taken the time to help me when I was growing up.we sat and watched as children.
