Vintage Butterfly Quilt

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Joan's Vintage Butterfly Block »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Classic, Traditional

Materials

Fabric, batting, binding

What was your inspiration?

Bringing this poor sad butterfly quilt back to life!

What are you most proud of?

How it looks now that it has new batting and quilting.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Treat an old quilt with respect, but don't be afraid to bring it back to life.

The quilt just requires 90 butterfly blocks. They are sewn together in rows with no sashings or borders. (Though making 90 of those blocks is overwhelming to me!)

Thank you ever so much. This is a beautiful pattern, and a good scrap killer!

I sure would love to make this. You have the pattern for free but so far I have had no luck getting it. Sure wish someone would tell me how to down load it. I have written to no avail I never hear from anyone.

First you have to put the pattern in your cart. Once it is in your cart, you have to add it to your library. Once you have done that you click the link to go toyour pattern library. When you get there you will see the pictures of the patterns you have and can click "download pdf" to get the pattern. I think a lot of people are getting confused with the process! Hope this helps!

Really like that butterfly pattern. I may have to try that one. I did a butterfly quilt for a granddaughter but this one looks easier to do and is much more dramatic.
