This Viking knit draw plate I have made from a piece of African padauk wood. It is hand cut, shaped and sanded then drilled out with 11 holes! It is cut from a solid piece of wood for good strength and has been finished using 2 coats of Danish wood oil for protection from moisture and to show off the warm, stunning natural colour of this hard wood. The plate comes with 4 x pine mandrels for various size options. The jewellery samples are for photographic purposes and do not come with the draw plates!! The overall plate size is - Length inc handle - 22.2cm or 8 7/8" Width - 7.4cm or 2 7/8" Thickness - 2cm or 7/8" Handle length - 9.7cm or 3 7/8" Mandrel sizes are - 8mm or 5/16" diameter 11mm or 7/16" diameter 15mm or 5/8" diameter 18mm or 3/4" diameter All 110mm or 4 3/8" in length and made from pine. This is a drawplate for making Viking chain! If you follow the link to my Etsy shop it shows some samples of the type of chain you can make in the pictures for the drawplate listing.
