Materials

Fabric, buckram, miliners wire, lining, doule bias tape, wide ribbon, satin, pearls. a feather

What was your inspiration?

I needed a hat to go with my coat (also posted on Craftsy). To keep in the same style, I wanted something victorian, and I used details I had added in the rest of my outfit to tie it in. (fabric flowers and pearls)

What are you most proud of?

How well it compliments the rest of the outfit

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use a thimble. It is almost all sewn by hand and, if you are anything like me, you might be out of practice :)
Take your time when straightening and rolling the wire frame so yet get a nice clean shape to the hat.
Also, use a thick fabric (I used drapery), to help give structure.
